Dye on silk with wax resist. This guy on the Big Island takes pictures from a kite camera (www.tombenedict.com). This is my interpretation of one of his photos of sand and rocks at the ocean's edge. Abstraction is everywhere; it's the art of noticing that is important, I think. Original has two separate sculptural pieces mounted on acid free matt board, with 1 1/2" off white matt showing, framed in 1" dense rowan wood dark stained with glass.
